How We Produce Every Page

Every page on this site passes through the same four steps before it goes live. No exceptions, this page followed the same process.

1. Research. We gather the facts from the Quran’s text and trusted scholarly sources, tafsir works, established translations, and academic references.
2. Writing. We write in plain, clear English. Arabic text is presented accurately, and every claim is tied to a source you can check.
3. Scholar review. A qualified reviewer checks each page for accuracy before publishing. If something cannot be verified, it does not go on the page.
4. Publishing. Only then does the page go live, with its sources listed at the bottom and links to related pages across the site.

Which surah should I start with?

Start with Surah Al-Fatihah, it is the chapter you recite in every prayer, and our guide covers it verse by verse. Then read forward in order: Al-Baqarah, Al-e-Imran, An-Nisa, and Al-Ma’idah. The Surah Guides hub lists all 114 surahs as new guides go live.

Do the guides include Arabic text and translation?

Yes. Surah guides include the Arabic text, a Latin transliteration to help with pronunciation, and an English translation of the meaning, plus background, themes, and key verses. Short surahs include every verse; longer surahs include an opening sample with transliteration and translation, plus the complete Arabic text further down the page.

I am new to Islam. Where do I begin?
